First week / February 6th
is it just me or did january feel like it took FOREVER?…a whole 3 months in one, it was awful. maybe it’s just the weather and lack of sunlight. seasonal depression hitting hard i guess.
so making february marginally better is the goal. we’re going to try and be intentional about it.
oh yeah i was also sick for a week in january so ive been struggling to get back into the routine of things since the holidays.
intention 1 for february – get back to my gym routine (3 days of gym, 2 days of yoga pilates or cardio)
intention 2 – get back to eating healthy which means meal prepping, 3 meals a day, stop snacking so much
im trying to get more movement in throughout the day too, the whole “10K steps per day!!” it’s hard when you have a desk job but we’re trying
eat 130 grams of protein + drink enough water + 10K steps + get enough sleep + strength training UGH
anyways, on a different note – february seems to be the month of new shows. right now i have on my list:

so i definitely have that to look forward to which is great because i’ve been in a bit of a reading slump.
id been really excited to read a court of thorns and roses but i got “to the mountain” which is where everyone said it picks up and couldnt get myself to keep going. i dont know what it was, i didnt really like Feyre and it all just felt so slow. i might try again but its also a pain to have to force yourself through a book to get to get to the good parts?? it’s why i didnt read Onyx Storm. i LOVED fourth wing, but iron flame drove me INSANE. i could rant about it for days (should i?). would LOVE to hear recommendations on what i should read next. i might take a break from fiction and read a motivational type of book to change it up. i was thinking The Let Them Theory.
hobby wise, im still working on my harry potter wooble, and i also got a sweater knitting kit so im excited to try that as well.
are there any new shows you’re looking forward to? how do you make time to stay healthy and meet all of your goals? was january incredibly slow for you too? and please if you have any book recommendations, i would love to hear them
